New Pattern! Lá Fhéile Pádraig (St Patrick’s Day) Hat
A number of years ago, I designed a hat for Lambspun of Colorado that is one of my favorites. It features a band with an ivy leaf motif, slipped stitch edging and a shamrock motif on the crown. The yarns used for this design were all Lambspun yarns, some of which are no longer available.
I’ve been wanting to rework it, using a different yarn, and some different motifs and different decreases on the top (to eliminate the puckering that you can see in the photo above.)
This winter, I finally found the time to work on this particular project, and came up with a lovely hat using shades of green and off-white Cascade 220 and 220 Heathers yarns. There are definite similarities to the previous version, but I hope there are improvements in the design. I eliminated the shamrock motif and reworked the decreases and worked light colors on a darker background at a slightly different gauge.
Here are the Ravelry links to the projects and to purchase. (As I write this, there is only one project, which is my own! 😉 )
And here are some details:

With that, I leave you with two more photos of the hat! 🙂 Until next time!
